Slow Wi-Fi? Find out where it slows down
A slow result in one room does not necessarily mean the broadband line is slow. Compare a few simple tests before changing your plan or equipment.
Home Slow Wi-Fi? Find out where it slows down
Test near the router, then in the affected room
Pause large downloads and test one device near the router. If possible, repeat over Ethernet. Then test in the room that feels slow. A stronger result near the router points you toward Wi-Fi placement or coverage; slow results on multiple wired and wireless devices are worth reporting to support.
Check devices and the fibre equipment
Try a second device. Check whether the issue started after changing router settings or moving equipment. If the optical unit shows a red LOS light, contact support and mention it; avoid unplugging or bending the fibre cable. Do not factory-reset the router unless support asks you to.
Send support the details that save time
Share when the issue started, which rooms or devices are affected, and whether it happens near the router or over a cable. Include the speed-test result and your customer ID. Keep your password private.
